KATE LOUDOUN SHAND

Kate Loudoun-Shand is a British textile designer and Creative Director whose career has spanned more than two decades, both sides of the Atlantic, and rather a lot of cloth. A lifelong love of history and archival research sits at the heart of her work. Kate is happiest disappearing into museum collections, textile archives, and old pattern books, unearthing fragments of the past that can be pulled apart, reimagined, and made relevant again. She is interested not in reproducing history, but in having a conversation with it.
